How often is it appropriate to follow up after a job interview? 4 comments
I interviewed for a position that I am very interested in two weeks ago today. I sent a hand-written thank you note immediately after the interview. One week later, I sent an email. Should I follow up again, or just assume that if they are interested, they will call me?

I never follow up, because some prospective employers don’t like it, and I figure that if they want you, they will call you.

you did a very good job. did they say when they would be filling the postion? Your persistant I will give you that. I would pick up the phone 1 more time and ask have they made a decision on the postion yet. they should inform you if you got the job or not. If they have over 200 applicants they may not inform anyone but you have done a good job and you deserve to be informed.

Ditto Schelly, but don’t ask “if you got the job.” That’ll sound desperate to them. Call and say that you wanted to “enquire after the status of your resume.” Sounds cheezy, but it sounds better than calling and saying “so, did I get the job?”

Give them a call and see if they have made any decision yet and that you are still interested in the position.
Good Luck!
