When calling to follow up a job interview, is it okay to ask if they’ve recieved my thank you emai? 5 comments
When calling to follow up a job interview, is it okay to ask if they’ve recieved my thank you emai? I don’t want to make it seem as though I am pressuring them, but I’d like to sound assertive.

I wouldn’t ask if they received your email. Just ask if they have made a decision about the job.

In this day and age of spam filters, I think it is perfectly fine to ask, since so many emails get lost that way. You say that you just want to verify your email went through.
Good luck with the job!

No, do not ask about the email. Do call and follow up though. Tell them “Thank you for your time on [date]. I really appreciated the time you spent with me. I am still interested in the [position] and think that my qualifications of [x, y, and z] will be a good fit. When do you think you will communicate your answer on who will be receiving the position? [SILENCE].

You sent a thank you via email? tsk tsk I would not have done that, a handwritten u.s. mailed letter shows so much more that you genuinely care about the employer and the position.

Say you are calling to ask about the outcome of your interview for the [insert the job title here] position on the [insert date here]. Don’t ask about the letter. They probably did recieve it.
