can my work visa from new zealand be revoke from my employer who sponsor it? the situation is like this im a nurse who was sponsored by a employer in new zealand.. gave me a job.. i know work visa is for 3 yrs then it will be expired by then.. but this the case.. i work for my employer in new zealand for just one year.. and move out to u.s and got my self there..overstayed there… can my work visa be effetive.. moving back to new zealand.. and regain.. a job there from my former employer sponsored visa.? can i still u used this visa that my that my employer sponsored to me.? please add sites to follw up your answers pls thank you im foreigner from the Philippines who was sponsored by a employer in the new Zealand …

did i breach my contract with this former employer i left in new zealand..? what suppose i do?
what if i gave proper notice to my former employer in new zealand then left the to the u.s then im safe right.. how many months can a former employer give me time .. to leave and come back.. i over stay my work visa and work permit in the u.s by 11 months..

  1. yes you breached the terms of your contract by leaving NZ – so the employer has every right to fire you – which means your visa is no longer valid. So now you cannot return to NZ.

  2. If I went through all the time and expense of sponsoring someone for a work permit and they left before the contract was up, there is no way I would take them back. You cannot go work for another employer on that work visa.

  3. If you breached your contract with your employer in New Zealand, failed to give proper notice etc, then it’s highly unlikely they would be willing to re-hire you.

    I would doubt your visa is still valid. Your employer most likely requested it be revoked shortly after you left as they’re required to by law should the sponsored employee be terminated or leave. The District Health Boards (I’m guessing one of those was your employer) are very quick to do so.

    I would imagine, given your history in one DHB, you would have a hard time finding employment in another and given your immigration history, I’d imagine you’d also have a tough time getting another visa.

    Perhaps you should’ve thought of the consequences before burning your bridges?
