Job Interview Follw up? 2 comments

I had an interview for a lawyer’s administrative assistant last Tuesday..I called this Monday to follow up and the lawyer told me he was going to be calling everyone to let them know on Wednesday. I did not receive a call yesterday and I’m wondering what would be the appropriate step to take..wait for him to call or call the office tomorrow? Any advice?

Call him tomorrow-Friday. He is probably busy (I know that is not an excuse), and sometimes employers give a date and do not follow it.
I would just ask him if has made his decision. He is either going to tell you whether he chose someone, or he is going to say he needs more time. If he picked someone else, ask him to keep you in mind for down the road. If he has not decided, tell him how interested you are and you wanted him to know that. If that happens, I would let him call you next time. It is hard, because you want to be aggressive, but not too much.

Give them a call. Just remember you are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. You waited a week before doing a follow up call and they said they would call you on Wednesday. It is now thursday. Feel free to call them
