What is proper business etiquette for sending out follow up emails for unanswered emails?   5 comments

I interviewed for a position and was emailed about a time for a second interview. I replied back but have not heard back. How many business days should I wait to follow up with them about the unanswered email?

Are follow up emails acceptable-or annoying? And what would I say in a follow up email regarding an internship?   1 comment

I sent an email to a company I wish to intern at for the summer. I have not received a reply back for a little over a week now. I was wanting to send a follow up email but I don’t know what to say or whether or not it would be annoying to email again. Any suggestions?

Should I bother to “soften up” my questions for people or should I just keep blazing my own trail and hope people might follw my lead?

How soon do you follow up with a potential employer after a job fair?   3 comments

I attended a nurses job fair where the unit director asked me to apply and allow her to look over my application. It wasn’t actually an interview, we just got to talking at the job fair and she said she would be interested in having me. I have applied but have not heard back from her. It has been 4 days. Is it okay to call her? How long should I wait, and what should I say? I’ve never had to follow up with any job in the past, and this is new to me. Thank you all in advance.

After the first follow-up and thank you after the interview, should one take a wait and see approach?
