I had an interview a little over two weeks ago and have not heard back from the employer. They said they would be interviewing people over the next two or so weeks. What is the best way to follow-up so they know I am still interested.

Is it good to call in and follow up on a job that you applied for?   2 comments

I applied last Thursday and was told that I would be called regardless. It’s Monday and I’m thinking of calling them to follow up and check how things are going. Is it good to follow up? Is a phone call good or would you prefer e-mail or an in person?
I just handed in my resume and now I’m waiting for an interview. I think when they said they would call me regardless, I think they meant for an interview.

What’s the best way to follow up on a resume through email?   1 comment

I’ve submitted my resume to someone who’s really interested in me and my skills. It’s been awhile, presuming he’s still interested and he’d received my resume, I’d like to follow up and keep in touch via email. In detail, what approach should I take in this email? Any help would be grateful.

Is it appropriate to call to follow up on a job application you sent?   5 comments

I sent an application and resume in response to a job advertised on an organization’s website. I know the job is still open. It’s been 7 business days since I mailed the application. Should I call to follow up? How long should I wait?

How do I follow up on an application at the hospital?   1 comment

I applied yesterday for a job that I really really want and I know I meet all the qualifications for and I have a really nice resume and cover letter… but I guess I should wait a couple days and let them call or if they even do. What if they don’t though.. should I call human resources at the hospital or would that be a bad idea? How do I follow up on an application?
