How do you follow up a resume submission to Human Resources?   2 comments

I recently applied for a job by sending my resume via email to the company’s Human Resources department. I received an email confirming they are evaluating it.

My question is: How do I follow up with HR on my resume? Anybody have good job hunting tips?

I rec’d an email from a (company I’ve applied for) recruiter requesting a phone screen interview on late Thurs afternoon, in reply from me on Friday morning I suggested that following Monday between morning/afternoon hours. Haven’t heard anything on their end, my question is, when or do I send that follow up email regarding an available time to contact me?

What time should I call to follow up on a job interview?   2 comments

Posted at 7:00 pm in Other - Careers & Employment

I did a job interview today for a retail position. I’m not certain of how the interview went but I’m pretty sure that I can improve my chances by making a follow-up call later tonight. The question is, what time should I make the call? I know that the two people who interviewed me are holding interviews until at least 6:30. The number I have is a cell phone. I can’t wait until tomorrow because they are finalizing their hiring decisions by tomorrow.

Any thoughts on the matter are greatly appreciated.
