I had an interview on Tuesday with a company I am very interested in working for. The hiring manager express that they are looking to fill the position rather quickly but said that they did have other interviews this week. I expressed my extreme interest and have already sent my thank you email. I was wondering when I should make a follow up phone call? In this economy I don’t want to let the position slip through my fingers, so what day should I call to follow up?

I submitted my resume to the HR department of the company last week and wanted to know if it was too early to follow up. This is my dream position and I want them to know how interested I am.

My concern is that the HR department is not going to be doing the hiring, so should I contact them or try to find out who the hiring manager is? I don’t want to seem annoying.

I interviewed for an internal position two weeks and one day ago. How can / should I follow up with the internal recruiter and or the hiring manager?
